 Hello poor dear f-list! I've been virtually non-existent on the interwebs recently. I'd apologize except I'M HAVING A BLAST AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA! THE REAL USC! Go Cocks! -dances a little as she does laundry to the music of Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog-

All in all, it is pretty much amazing. Thanks to marching band, I've befriended a totally awesome group of people. Yay for never having to eat dinner alone. Band kids are pretty much the bomb and since we're no longer bound to the politically correct world of high school, we have some... interesting cheers. It really helps that our mascot is a (game)cock. 

The one downside is that I think I've met a grand total of one straight guy in the three weeks I've been here. I think it comes with hanging around the music community so much. Don't get me wrong. All the woodwind guys are completely awesometastical. We stay up late together making phallus shaped rice crispie treats and watching the stars. But, I could never date them. I'm on the look out though. -squinty eyes-

latex_muffins  actually just left a few hours ago. I had a beast time hanging out with the Hanahan kids. We ate at Olive Garden and watched Halloween II (a seriously effed up movie...really).

Oh look! My clothes are almost dry!

And to my dear fanfic followers... perhaps one day I'll have the time to finish that Spock/Uhura fic....

 And so it has happened. I have been sucked into the expansive fandom that is Star Trek. -dramatic music- I resisted valiantly. My granddad has been a trekkie for years and he's always been kind of obnoxious about it. So, I was a little hesitant. But thenlatex_muffins cornered me at his beach house and forced me to watch it.

AND IT WAS EPIC! And I LOVE SPOCK! OMG. FANGIRL SQUEE! Now I've assumed my usual role of super nerd and am reading the movie tie-in/watching the original series nightly on youtube/listening to the soundtrack as I do menial chores.
